Personal Biography: Emily Holmes is originally from Columbus, Indiana and was an Indiana delegate in 1993. She received her undergraduate degree in art and art history from Duke University and is currently working on her Masters in Human Factors / Information Design at Bentley University.
After college, Emily started out as an exhibit designer at a children’s science museum. She developed a passion for designing experiences that help K12 students learn and explore, and is very excited to be working toward that same goal now as the Director of User Experience for Hobsons. As she has shifted her focus to the web over the past decade, her professional interests have continued to focus on information design, information architecture, K12 education and problem solving through design.
Emily loves reading, music and kayaking. She can play guitar, sing and juggle fire. She also makes a mean stained glass window.
